Admissions Monday through Friday.
8 week PHP Therapeutic Support.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is the highest level of outpatient mental health care for adults and teens — structured treatment through the day, in your own bed by evening. No hospital stay required.

Intensive daily support — and home every night.

When symptoms have gotten too heavy to manage on your own — but you don't need round-the-clock hospital care — PHP is the step that meets that moment. You'll get several hours of therapy a day, several days a week, with a team watching your progress closely and helping you steady the ground under you. Then you go home each night. It's often the right next step after a hospital stay, or when IOP or weekly therapy hasn't been enough.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Mansfield, Texas

If you're in immediate danger, call 911. If you're in emotional crisis or having thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 — the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — any time, day or night. You don't need an appointment to receive help, and you don't have to wait for our next opening to reach out.

In crisis right now? You don't have to wait.

If your symptoms have gotten so heavy that daily life feels hard to manage safely — but you don't need 24-hour hospital care — PHP may be the right level of support. It's the most intensive outpatient care we offer: structured treatment through the day, then home each evening.

People call us saying, "I don't know how much longer I can keep doing this," "I can barely get out of bed," "I've already tried therapy, but I need more help," and "The hospital told me I should look into PHP."

This may be the right fit if you're dealing with:

Severe anxiety or depressionSignificant trauma symptomsFrequent emotional crisesA recent hospital stay or step-down needLimited improvement with therapy or IOPTrouble keeping up with daily responsibilitiesNeeding daily support without inpatient care

If your teen's symptoms have taken over their days — at home, at school, with their safety — PHP gives them intensive, structured support during the day while they come home to you each evening. It's for adolescents who need more than IOP or weekly therapy, but not a hospital stay.

Parents call saying, "I'm really worried about my child," "They can barely make it through the school day," "The hospital recommended a step-down program," and "I don't know how to keep them safe at home without more support."

This may be the right fit if your teen is dealing with:

Severe anxiety, depression, or trauma symptomsFrequent emotional or behavioral crisesA recent hospital stay or step-down needSelf-harm or suicidal thoughts safely managed in PHP*Trouble attending schoolA family struggling to keep things stable at home

PHP is intensive, but it isn't for every situation. If you or your teen needs medical detox, 24-hour supervision, or inpatient hospitalization, that's a safer choice — and we'll help you get there. Not sure where you land? Call us. We'll tell you honestly, even if the answer isn't our program.

How is PHP different from IOP?

PHP is a step up from IOP. Both let you live at home — the difference is intensity. PHP runs most of the day, several days a week, for people whose symptoms need daily structure and monitoring. IOP is a few hours a few days a week. Weekly therapy is one session a week.

Common Questions

Questions people always ask.

How is PHP different from IOP?

How is PHP different from IOP?

PHP is a higher level of care with more treatment hours — roughly 20–30 hours a week versus 9–15 for IOP. It's for people who need daily therapeutic structure and monitoring but don't require inpatient hospitalization. Both let you live at home.

Will I (or my teen) still go home each day?

Will I (or my teen) still go home each day?

Yes. PHP is daytime treatment — participants return home every evening. You get intensive support without an overnight hospital stay.

Is PHP right after a hospital stay?

Is PHP right after a hospital stay?

Often, yes. PHP is a common step-down after a psychiatric hospitalization or ER visit — it keeps the intensive support going while you transition back to daily life. We accept step-down referrals and coordinate with hospitals.

How long does PHP last?

How long does PHP last?

Most people are in PHP for about 8 weeks, attending 5 days a week. As you stabilize, we step you down to IOP or outpatient care. Your exact plan is based on your needs.

Will parents be involved in a teen's PHP?

Will parents be involved in a teen's PHP?

Yes — for teens, family sessions are a required part of treatment. When a teen is in PHP, involving the family is part of what helps them get and stay stable.

What happens on the first day?

What happens on the first day?

Day one is a screening, an intake conversation, and a medical evaluation — not a group. No one is pushed to share trauma in detail or speak in front of the room, and we won't recommend PHP if another level of care would be safer for you.

Will my insurance cover PHP?

We're in-network with major insurers, and many plans (plus EAPs) cover Partial Hospitalization care. Our team verifies your benefits and explains any cost before treatment begins.
